The Canadian Pacific Story

Timberwolf Rocky Mountain Emporium Ltd brings you a hand selected collection of Canadian Pacific Railway and Canadian Rocky Mountain posters. These posters are sure to give you a fresh remembrance of the enjoyment we have in our remarkable country. Selected posters are inspired by retro advertisements that contributed to the growth of Canada’s western tourism industry.

The history behind Canada’s first transcontinental railway is extensive. The railway was originally built based upon the promise of connecting western and eastern Canada upon joining the Confederation in 1871. After four years of building, the railways were used for means of transportation for development and settlement. In 1881, the railways were incorporated and have been known as the Canadian Pacific Railway Company (CPR) since. The CPR became Canada’s most powerful company offering travellers/tourists with a variety of accommodations and transportation throughout the 1960’s. The CPR Company ultimately provided scenic memorable travel with the opportunity of experiencing Canada’s majestic Rocky Mountains.
